Dan Hewson is a pianist, trombonist, composer and arranger. He has worked with Stomp, Groove Armada, Madonna, Omar, Incognito, Art Themen, the Oxford Chamber Orchestra and the Allegri String Quartet. He is the son of Richard Hewson (arranger for the Beatles) and now leads his dad’s band, The RAH Band, appearing live and selling out the Jazz Cafe in 2022. 

He has recorded his arrangements at Abbey Road, has performed on Radio 3’s In Tune and had his compositions performed on Classic FM. He has written a large amount of library music and also has released a number of albums of original compositions. 

Dan works as a freelance pianist for jazz clubs, hotels, and for dance classes. He works with a number of different artists based in London and the South East. Recent composing activity includes a number of new pieces co-written with Anna De Bruin and recorded by her Curve Ensemble on Bigo and Twigetti records.

He has songs with Lauren Lucille in production, an orchestral project called Pomelo Strings, and plays in the Betty Accorsi Quartet.
