SULTRY SEDUCTION : violin and piano building to epic distorted synths and tough beats
PULSATE : soft strings build slowly into a piano and violin ostinato. An impassioned cello melody rises ever higher, chugging strings and powerful brass lead to a dramatic end
WAR AND DESTRUCTION : Dire Consequences, Escape Route, Pain Of War, Traumatic Reflection, Conflict Conclusion.
THE WITCH: Dark comedy, spooky orchestral moments, ghoulish strings, percussion and winds to frighten the halloween out of you…
JAZZ / FUNK
A FOOL FOR LOVE (Featuring Rebecca Hollweg) : A nostalgic jazz ballad. Piano trio, strings and brass accompany a smooth voice singing about love and romance
TWO LONELY PEOPLE : A guitar-led, emotive romantic ballad, evoking the jazz world of New York City. A woman walks alone in the rain. An empty park bench. A man crosses the street. They meet, and love blossoms. The sun sets over a Manhattan skyline.
MOORISHANTI : Brooding, intense and dark piano trio building into a powerful climax
Sonho De Amor : Lounge-style Brazilian-flavoured jazz chill-out
Funk Machine : Trombone, Hammond organ, funky bass and drums… Get on the scene, feeling good!
NO, NO, NO : modern, male vocal-led pop song – “She was just a girl who lived across the street…..”
FIND ME A WAY (SKY FIDELITY) : Smooth vocals, positive message, country guitars, happy uptempo groove
CHANGE OF ROOT (SOUL FUNK SECRET): A bright, edgy, fast-tempo funk track with energetic vocals and a kicking rhythm section.
WHEREVER YOU GO (Featuring Lauren Lucille) : Emotive strings, piano and vocals
DROPLETS : delicate, hypnotic piano notes drop calmly from the keyboard
SEASCAPE : gently rolling piano melody, nostalgic and wistful
BLINDED : calming music with piano, keyboards, violin and vocals for sleep, deep relaxation
EDGE HILL (GROOVE ARMADA) : Quotes about my arrangement – “the glorious strings that explode from Edge Hill are proof of life…” “The heartfelt string arrangements of Edge Hill take the vibe of At The River and sail it down stream” (BBC Music review)
MUSIC – MADONNA : My string quartet arrangement for Groove Armada’s 12″ remix of the Madonna single
DRIVING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS (STACEY SOLOMON / CHRIS REA) : My string arrangement for the Iceland Foods TV campaign

Brother Tree is a flexible group of musicians and soundscapers brought together from London’s finest chamber orchestras, folk and jazz groups to create an exciting new ensemble performing their own music which flows between acoustic and electronic performance.
Individual members of Brother Tree work with the top London orchestras, chamber groups and jazz ensembles, performing in all the major concert venues and festivals throughout the world. They have all met and played together as freelance musicians, be it for chamber music festivals in Bordeaux, at the Barbican for London Jazz Festival, or playing in one of the BBC proms.
The group share a passion and a vision for a new perspective in contemporary music performance by writing for themselves, with each person in the group bringing something different to the process, yet on stage, their combined experience as seasoned chamber musicians gives a tight knit clarity to their performances. Brother Tree aims to collaborate as much as possible with other artists and musicians.
