Daniel Hewson, son of legendary composer Richard Hewson (of the RAH Band, arranger for The Beatles, Carley Simon, Diana Ross, Cliff Richard, to name but a few) is an award-winning composer, music technology producer, arranger, pianist, and trombonist.
He studied music at Oxford University, and is now a successful freelance composer, pianist and trombonist. He has written and arranged for Madonna, Groove Armada, The Allegri String Quartet and many others. His composition features on the “Tomb Raider” soundtrack (Paramount Pictures), as well as on 19 albums with Pedigree Cuts label (Universal Production Music), the Audio Network, PMOL, Gold Leaf and Squirky Music libraries. He has released five original albums, including “Secret Doors”, “A Day In Cadiz” and “Ouija” (The Reunion Big Jazz Band).
He has worked with Nigel Kennedy, the Oxford Chamber Orchestra, Stomp, Incognito, Omar, at the BBC Proms, the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Festival Hall, Rock in Rio, at Abbey Road, on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM.
